The snow is melting, the flowers are blooming, and people are itching to get out and explore. While many events are still following COVID-19 safety regulations, there are lots of ways to explore the Twin Cities in person. No matter your interests, here are some ways to keep busy this season.
Local Spring Events:

United Home Opener | Their 2022 schedule has announced their opening day will be on the road and their home opener will be on March 5, 2022.
Twins Home Opener | Their preliminary schedule has set their opening day, which will also be their home opener, for April 7, 2022.
Saint Paul Art Crawl | This art event features over 300 local artists, including dance and musical performances, in neighborhoods around the Saint Paul area. It typically spans over a couple months. It will be returning from April 22 – 23, 2022 at the Island and Virginia Street Church and May 20-22, 2022 at the Northern Warehouse.
MN Fashion Week | This bi-annual event will be returning with preventative COVID-19 measures like socially distanced experiences and face coverings worn at all times. Their spring event will be from April 20 – April 24, 2022.
Virtual Art in Bloom | The MIA’s annual floral celebration will be back to a live and in-person experience this spring. This will take place between April 28 – May 1, 2022.
MSP International Film Festival | This annual film festival will be returning May 5 – 19, 2022, and they plan to return to in-person theater screening. It is one of the largest and longest-running international film festivals in the country.
Twin Cities Auto Show | Returning for its 49th year, this annual event draws in thousands of car lovers or those just looking to compare hundreds of vehicles for their next one. This event takes place on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds from May 14 – 22, 2022.
Twin Cities Farmers’ Markets | Search for a local farmers’ market near you on the Minnesota Grown website and when they will be opening back up for the spring.
Other annual events like the Saint Paul Grand Old Day and Cinco de Mayo Celebration have not announced a 2022 plan at the time of writing. Other events like Wordplay and Festival of Nations have cancelled their 2022 event.
